International Festival Zêzere CineDance
The curational proposal of this 1st Edition of Zeêzere CineDança meets projects that dialogue with the poetic, imagined and conceptual body. And essentially it seeks to cover a diversity of styles in approaching the body on screen, where sometimes the narrative is assumed to be the engine of cinematographic choreography and in other cases a translucent mirror of the body that is imagined and observed.
In a meeting of languages that give voice to themes that touch our sensitivity, we sought in this journey through the body that dances on the screen, to select films that transmigrate into territories of the sensitive and indescribable. The dance that moves and makes images move in all directions.
The result of this selection meets the objectives of the Festival's artistic direction, which seeks not only to promote dance on the big screen, but also a tangible material to represent reality itself, in the assumption of a body that makes you dream and dialogues with the current concerns and challenges.
Submerged in formats that span more documentary, animated or simply fictional universes, we can see in this selection, dance films that make us feel and live the body we imagine.
