The Legend of the Cave of the Fairy, a very short legend speaks of the appearance of a fairy, who every night, in the Serra de Sintra, will carve its destiny in a cave. It is a mystery, even today, about what she is going to carp, nobody knows. This piece is divided into two parts. The first part deals with a group of young people who take an evening walk in the Serra de Sintra, where they play games and play with fear. The second part introduces the fairy world and the apparitions, four dancers and a singer represent the same fairy, in its different faces. I wanted to follow a darker line of the fairy world and the representation of this fairy, not always represented with the ethereal and benevolent idea of the fairies. The fairy here is represented in a physically side more animal, darker and darker place, like other stories and legends that Sintra also tells us.
Fairies are amoral and not human and have dark areas, they are also linked to destiny, to fado and weave threads of destiny that intersect with humanity. Two worlds, visible and invisible, that sometimes feel, but do not cross directly, nor are they seen.
