CULTURAL PROJET IN A
SCHOOL CONTEXT
From the Body to Sound and Visual Arts 2025-26

Cultural School project based on the objectives of the artistic literacy plan - Resident Artist - ‘SentirArte’, Madrasta Dance, a professional artistic structure, has designed a cultural project in a school context with the motto ‘From the Body to the Sound and Visual Arts’, which aims to contribute to the development of artistic literacy and to the creation of students/citizens who connect with art as a regular everyday practice and understand its multiple expressions as something natural/spontaneous in itself, as a need experienced by each person.

This is a project that forms part of the Intermunicipal Strategic Development Plan for Education in the Middle Tagus - Axis 3; Innovate & Integrate Literacies, supported by the Municipality of Ferreira do Zêzere, in collaboration with the School Group of Ferreira do Zêzere, with funding from PEDIME and which aims to draw up a plan for artistic residencies in a school context, intended to cover the entire school community of Ferreira do Zêzere, from pre-school to secondary school, in different formats, but with a view to providing cultural and educational experiences of artistic creation and enjoyment, opening up horizons and educational paths, in a spirit of citizenship, through the search for each student's unique vision.

 

It focuses essentially on the artistic approach through the performing arts, in this case contemporary dance articulated with various complementary artistic practices, such as drawing/painting and spoken word, with the aim of fostering encounter, contact, understanding and experience, exploratory and electronic music, the visual arts in the form of video art, drawing, photography and experimental cinema, and the impact that these arts can have on the life of each citizen/student, be it in affective, social, cultural or pedagogical terms.
